What was the client’s brief for the kitchen?
Our clients’ home is a lovely Cotswold Brick 1980s detached property with a beautiful, manicured garden.
The initial brief was just to literally update the kitchen. At the initial first meeting with the client and realising her love for cooking along with a career always associated with food, once we looked at the ground floor plan and a passing comment about the dining room being dead space, all of a sudden, the possibilities opened up considerably.
How did you deliver the brief?
Removing the wall between the kitchen and dining room allowed us to create a fabulous space to include a kitchen island, ideal for food preparation and a space to house a library of cookery books!
This new space also future-proofs the house; although the couple’s three children have now all left home, it will be an ideal space to welcome any potential grandchildren in the future.
We’ve brought a dead space back to life and created a room that not only looks stunning, but is now flooded with natural daylight and ticks every box logistically.
Christmas can’t come quick enough, when entertaining will all take place in this fabulous new space and without our client being tucked away in the kitchen missing out on all the fun!
“We have been thoroughly impressed by the excellent level of service we have received throughout our kitchen diner renovation. Right from the very first showroom visit nothing has been too much trouble and the level of detail and close supervision paid to every aspect of the project has been amazing.
“Clare and Graham brought our ideas into clear focus and we can honestly say it has been a genuine pleasure to work with Vita Nova. Their team of sub-contractors all worked hard to produce a superb level of craftmanship and quality clearly evident in the end result.
“Thank you for your enthusiasm and expertise in creating our fabulous new kitchen which we enjoy every day.”
