Originally built as a cottage over 100 years ago, The Quarry House was beautifully extended and renovated into a substantial family home between 2016 – 2018. The stunning property is nestled in expansive grounds in the side of a working quarry and enjoys extensive views over the West Yorkshire countryside. Built using impressive Yorkshire stone from the quarry itself, the house seamlessly blends old and new to deliver an impressive piece of architecture.
If we had to name one design feature that only continues to increase in popularity as part of a kitchen design and layout, it’s the island. Many of our clients request one as part of their new kitchen design and its easy to understand why – an island is such a great way to increase both counter and storage space and can be used to replace long runs of cabinetry as part of a more open-plan kitchen design.
Set back and nestled down a private country lane, this stunning home was originally built in 1998 as a stable block for the adjacent property. Originally with planning for a one-bedroom bungalow, our client has since extended upwards to create a stunning, four-bedroom family home set across two stories with beautiful views, with feature oak beams throughout that give a characterful nod to the building’s heritage.
A recent report by money.co.uk found UK homeowners have invested an average of £4,035 each on home renovations since the UK lockdown began in March 2020. When it comes to investment, a new kitchen is one of the most significant purchases you’ll make for your home, so there are lots to think about to make sure you get it right!
Our client’s home is a 1960s-built detached property nestled in the bustling village of Almondbury, West Yorkshire. They recently chose to extend their kitchen to create a stunning, open plan living and dining area – with plenty of space for dancing being a top priority for the design! With large bi-folding doors leading out to an immaculate garden, the kitchen needed to achieve a light and airy feel to bring the outside in – and of course, leave with plenty of room for partying!
Nestled high up in the Yorkshire countryside on the edge of the Pennine Way and enjoying stunning 360 degree views, our client’s 17th century Georgian property is a truly stunning home. With a small standalone outhouse at the rear of the house, our clients decided they wanted to transform the space into a functional ‘bootility’ room to house a washing machine, walking gear and a shower for the family dog.
