We are delighted that our Wilshaw home bar project – led by our design director, James Bodsworth – has been shortlisted in the Residential Interior of the Year category at the prestigious Designer Awards 2021.
The project, which saw us transform what was an underused space in our clients’ entrance hallway into a luxury home bar, has beat off some stiff competition to land a spot on this years’ awards list, and we’re keeping everything crossed for a win.
The Designer Awards celebrate residential and commercial kitchen, bathroom and architectural design projects in the UK and worldwide.
Now in its 19th year, the established event attracts world-renowned designers and architects as well as senior professionals within the design industry – with world-renowned judges from across the design and architecture industry.
Hundreds of the leading designers, manufacturers and other influential figures attend the glitzy ceremony every year in London, which is hosted by a celebrity presenter.
Commenting on the news, James Bodsworth said: “The Wilshaw home bar project is such a brilliant example of taking a space that wasn’t much used and transforming it into a show-stopping feature that creates a real wow factor at the entrance to Rich and Dan’s home.
“Being able to showcase their Veuve Cliquot collection of Champagne was important to them, so designing bespoke shelving gives them the space to do just that. The design has a masculine feel that we achieved by using our Farnley cabinetry in Charcoal, accented with Satin Antique Brass handles and bespoke mesh fronts for the cupboards to display the selection of tipples on offer.
“Finishing touches like the integrated Kaelo wine cooler and antique mirrors behind the shelving finish the whole space off perfectly.
The winners will be announced at the 19th annual Designer Awards which take place on the afternoon of Friday 12 November 2021 at the Grand Connaught Rooms, London.
